The days of the week in Korean are derived from Chinese characters, with each day of the week coming from a coming word.

Sunday - 老夸老 (Chinese for 老 = 祉 - Sun)
Monday - 岿夸老 (昱 - Moon)
Tuesday - 拳夸老 ( - Fire)
Wednesday - 荐夸老 (猢 - Water)
Thursday - 格夸老 (偈 - Wood)
Friday - 陛夸老 (休 - Gold)
Saturday - 配夸老 (飨 - Earth (soil))
