~ㅂ니다

~ㅂ니다 is the polite verb ending. It is attached to the dictionary form of a Korean verb when the verb stem ends in a vowel.
My name is Joe.
제이름은 Joe 입니다.

The verb 이다 (equivalent to =) has the verb stem 이. Since this verb stem ends in a vowel, we use ㅂ니다.
이 + ㅂ니다 = 입니다.
